Busy Weekend

Pretty much was a home body all weekend.
The weather and roads were bad since Friday.
My daughter has a Gluten allergy but, after doing some research, some people aren't really gluten allergic but it is the way that wheat has been hybidized.
I decided to try some heirloom/ancient wheat flour.
I ordered Emmer and Eikorn flour from Bluebird Grain Farms.
I got some that is more geared to cookies, muffins etc and one that loans itself to bread.
I used a whole wheat recipe because I really didn't want to use conventional all purpose flour.
I did use some GF flour to knead the bread.
Here is what it looked like before raising.
Future note to self, let the Kitchen-aid do more work.

I think it would have taken an act of god to get it to raise more.
They kind of look like paving bricks but, they actually tasted pretty good.
Katy has been eating small bites to see if she adversely reacts.
So far, so good.
I finished my first square on Autumn at Hawk Run.
Decided to do some more of the outlining as I go because it is soooo boring.
If I do a little at a time, it isn't as bad.

That about sums it up.
Tuning into the Academy Awards.
I am really rooting for La La Land.
I am a movie girl and for that reason I loved La La Land!
Finally watched all of The Bold and the Beautiful with Kirk Douglas and Lana Turner today too, great to stitch by.
Love, Love, Love old Movies!

Hope you have had a great weekend.
Keep on Stitching!

Autumn At Hawk Run

I finally have the top of Autumn at Hawk Run done.
I had to do some ripping and adjusting so it is about seven stitches off center.
Oh well, no big deal had a four inch border around it.
It will be plenty for the framer to work with.

I have had problems with my cell phone sending the email of my pictures.
I now have a gmail and google pictures but, I think I figured what was going on with my phone.
It is still mailing wonky but, now I know what to do.

Here is where I was last Sunday.
I had nearly completed the header and started working on the first row of pictures.

 Close up of the header.
I missed the spider's silk
Here  is where I am today.
Moving right a long

The weather has been awesome this weekend and everything is melting ....way too soon!

Hope you had a great weekend !
Thanks for stopping.

Really Finished Piece

I really finished my Plum Street Samplers Sampler Lesson.
This is a tin I picked up years ago.
The kit came with an off white chenille trim but, I rooted around in my stash and found one I had bought from Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe called Terra Cotta.
It matched the Adobe floss.
I keep my magnet strips and needle parks in here when I'm not using them.
I also have extra floss bobbins and dodads.
Starting working on Autumn at Hawk Run but, made an error so it won't be centered by 7 stitches.
I think I can live with that.

Katy and I went and saw Rings, the third movie in the creepy Ring movies.
It was creepy but, not too gross.
Ate piles of popcorn.....shouldn't do that but, movie popcorn is the best!

Hope your weekend was spectacular.
Have a great week!
Keep on Stitching.
