Plum Tuckered Out

I couldn't decide on which picture of poor plum tuckered out Henry.
He had really busy day keeping up with everyone.
Just like a little kid, he gets really pesty when he is tired.
We had to put him outside when we had dinner since we were eating at the table.
He does not hesitate to put his paws on the table and take a lick or too.
Yes, he is already that tall he can reach.
Usually, we eat at the bar but, my MIL was over for dinner.
I could decide on which picture, without or with the flash.
I have started Plum Street Samplers' Cinnamon Stars.
Don't expect to see a lot of rapid progress on this one.  I realized that Christmas is not too far around the corner and I have to get my Christmas gifts ready.

Less than two weeks until the Door County Stitching  Retreat.  This year Arttie and Patty from my stitching group  are joining me.  The rooms are really condo's with kitchens.  There is a continental breakfast but, it isn't worth the calories.  We are planning breakfast.  We will go out for lunch and dinner is provided.

I am really looking forward to this!  I can use a get-away.  I have really enjoyed the last two years.

Thanks for stopping and I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Git'in Er Done

I forgot to take pictures of what I'm currently working on because I was so excited about Git'in Er Done.
I have been working on finishing things:  sewing, cutting, lacing and stuffing.
Finished Never More.
I am so glad I stitched this!
I don't know what motif I like better:  the moons, the tombstones the hands with the eyes.
I finished Homespun Elegance Liberty House Sampler a while ago but, it was in the pile to finish.  It is now good to go for next Fourth of July decorations.
A Freebie that I used the big ass ric rac on but, it does not work well in corners.  Note to self:  use b-a ric rac flat on fabric as an embellishment.
The smalls from Prairie Schooler Never More.  This kind of didn't end up straight on or maybe the cardboard was a little cattywompus.  Oh well, I still like it.
I think I nailed this one much better.
Together and I really like them
I really like getting things finished.  I do have a pile of things that have never been finished and I'm not sure I ever will.  I even have a project I was making for my husband of a moose that I hate so much I shredded it in the paper shredder.

Now for the latest puppy pictures.  Henry Ford is 15 weeks old and 24.2#.  Saw the vet today for a vaccine.  He was very good and all the girls just loved him up and filled him with treats.  Babe magnet!

My favorite one.  The first time this had happened.

Hope you are having a good week.  Looking forward to a peaceful weekend...I hope filled with stitching time.
Thanks for stopping!

A Delemma

I finished Prairie Schooler Nevermore.  I have started on the small pieces because I just like them.
So the dilemma lies in what do I start on?
I do want to work on last years Lizzie Kate Mystery sampler...the Christmas one.
I'm not sure if I have time to finish the two I want to do.
I have Cnnamon Stars from Plum Street Samplers ready to go.
I think i could finish this in a month or so.
I also have Away We Ride.  I don't now that I can finish this before Halloween.  I really love this one too!
I don't know that I need to have another Halloween piece on the walls.  I'm thinking this may have to wait.
We had a busy day today but, a good one.  Buster and I went to see my mom.  There is no way I could take both dogs especially when one is a really goofy puppy.  Bob took his mom to see her sister.  Then he took his uncle to his camp.  Uncle Jerry is getting too old to go alone and it won't be too long and he is going to sell it.  When Bob got home, the hounds were very happy to see him.  I got some great pictures of my three boys.
Nearly the same picture with the flash.  I decided to post them both.
Hope you have had a great weekend and that your week goes well.  I always hope my week is uneventful!

Thanks for stopping

Henry Ford is an Einstein

Henry Ford is now 13 weeks old and an Einstein among dogs.  He has been sitting on command for a whole week.  Alas, he may still eat his own poop but, the "SIT" is a huge start!
Fresh pictures of the scourge of the house.  He did sleep all night and I even had to get up and didn't wake him up.  I got up with him at 5 am the previous morning and he fell asleep on my lap, shaking.  He has been cold.  We had a rug and some towels in his crate but, it apparently wasn't enough to keep him warm.  I put an old comforter in his crate and I think that did the trick....at least I hope.

 The regal Henry Ford
It is a good thing he is so stinkin' cute!

The picture you get when he decides to check out the camera mid-snap.
The face you get when the flash goes off.
My updated picture of Prairie Schooler Nevermore.  About a quarter left.  Maybe I will finish this weekend?

Awesome recipe for homemade soup in about 30 minutes.  You can have homemade soup for dinner

Italian Sausage and Tortellini Soup
1# Bulk Italian Sausage
2 Cans Beef Broth
1 Can French Onion soup
1 can (I think 28 oz) diced tomatoes (large can)
2 c. water
2 c. chopped cabbage

14-16 oz tortellini  I used a bag of Rosetto frozen ones or capalletti
Fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Brown the meat.  Drain excess fat.  Add the next five ingredient and cook until the cabbage is soft.
Add the tortellini and cook until it is done.  Serve with fresh grated Parmesan cheese.

This is truly good soup in no time.

That about raps it up.  Hope you are having a wonderful week.  Hooray, tomorrow is Friday.
Keep on stitching,
Monica

Shopping and Stitching.

I need to take some more pictures of Henry Ford.
I take loads with the cell phone but, a pain to try and get in the blog.
I did take him to the vet on Thursday for more shots and he has doubled in size in a month.
He is still one squirrelly dog but, getting better.
He will sort of let me stitch a little here and there.
I have been making some progress.
I got the most stitching of the week done yesterday sitting by the fireplace at the Green Bay Cabela's
I always bring stitching when we go there cause I'm just not interested in hunting gear.
We did stop at the Stitching Bee and I picked up a couple of patterns.  I have never bought or stitched any Nebbly Needle:  My Stars and Fields of Clover.  The colors are just so pretty.  I picked a little Stacy Nash.  I greatly enjoy her patterns too.  I needed some floss that I hadn't been able to get when I was in La Crosse.
T think  this is just a sweet little stitch.  Love the colors.

Sorry the picture didn't turn out better.
Since we were shopping yesterday, had to get all the weekly chores done.  Now I can settle in for some stitching and a little TV.
Hope you had a great week.
Keep on Stitching.
