Getting There

Getting there!
The main body of His Eye is on the Sparrow is done.
I'm working on the border.
I did get it to line up with a little ripping.
It is a little off center but, only by two stitches.
I'm not going to adjust that.
I have five skeins of  Oscar left.
I hope that will be enough.
I am telling you this is a thread suck and the pattern gave you no idea just how much thread you need.  I have used a lot of thread!!!
And I finished my first pair of felted slipper clogs.
I am pretty pleased with how they turned out.
I have yarn to make a pair for Ed.
When I brought these home and he saw him, he asked about me making a pair for him.
I showed him the yarn I picked out for him and it was a hit.
I'm using yarn on the upper part that is varigated.
As I said, I'm getting there.  I'm starting to think about what will be the next project once With His Eye.... is done.  I have a few things to pick from.

Hope you had a great weekend.  It was cold here and we got about two inches of snow.  The good thing is this time of the year, it never stays long.

Have a gorgeous week!
Keep on Stitching
Monica

  1. Eye looks fantastic.
Glad you got it to work, it's an intense piece.
I wish the designers would all out approximately how many skeins you need for a design because sometimes if you buy more, it doesn't match well.
    The slippers look so warm.
    Have a great week!

  2. His Eye is one amazing sampler. You are brave for tackling it. It will be absolutely beautiful when you are finished. I agree about the thread. That is especially true when you are buying the dyed threads. At least for DMC, you can run to Joanns, if there is a close one.

  5. That's beautiful and going to be such an achievement once finished. I hate it when I'm anxious about thread - I stitch faster tying to get to the end before I use it up!
Love those cute clogs too, they look cosy!
